Waikanae Rotary winners at Wellington Airport Community Awards 2023
Waikanae Rotary, Nga Manu and Paraparaumu College shared a category win in the recent Wellington Community Awards.
The project, which Past President Dave Bruce initiated with Matu Booth (Nga Manu Manager at the time), won the Rising Star category - for the Ngā Manu Trust Practical Collective Studies Course The course was developed with the help of Brian Ireland from Startled Gekko and run for the first time this year, in the April school holidays. It was an outstanding success especially for the Paraparaumu College students who attended and got so much out of the hands on field work. Click here for more details
Dave said "It was marvellous recognition for about a year's hard work." He said all the prize money would go to running the next course at Nga Manu.
