The meeting

Members enjoyed the usual high standard of ,meal provided by our caterer Ingrid.

Immediate Past President Steve stood in for President Robert who was unable to make it at short notice.

As this was a Club Forum and there was no speaker, President Robert asked for the following topics to be discussed by members:

  • Explore and agree what a 'committee' evening might look like.

It was agreed we would have Committee/Project meetings on the second meeting each month.  No speaker.

Need to focus on membership development.

  • Discuss the project we have coming up

A wide ranging discussion was held including:

    Nga Manu signage project
    Healthy Heroes
    Model Rail project
    Summer Science Forum

    Lifting the Lid

  • Agree the structure for club meetings i.e. How many speaker nights, When do we have the Committee night? etc.

It was agreed we would have:

Speaker on the first and third meetings of each month

Committee/Project meetings on the second meeting each month.  no speaker

If there is 5 Wednesdays in a month, the 4th meeting would be a social night.  No speaker
